Yes, Summit Gun Broker is for sale. I have had this listed for some time at the bottom of the home page but it seems people are still surprised when they see it so I am making a listing to explain it better. First I want to thank everyone for a great run. I have had retail gun shop but this is so much better. Special thanks to Mr. Obama for funding my retirement. Couldn't have done it without you.
This is like selling my child but I am to old and tired to go though another government funded feeding frenzy. I do think there is more to come. The firearms' industry is different form most. It is as much who you know as what you know. It took me years to figure out how to get ahead in this industry. You need to study gun values constantly in times like this when guns are rising in value so fast. I learned most of it from the old gun guys. Now I am an old gun guy and don't want all that I have learned to go to waste. I am addicted to this and want the next owner to be the same. Yes, some times I put in a lot of hours but most of it is done at my desk in my own home. How many people can make a great living at a job they love and don't have to dress for sucess?
This business can be moved anywhere very easily. Or if you want to run it from here. I will sell you the house. I can make it bigger or I can make it smaller. Right now it is very, comfortable, and still makes good money. There is a lot more that can be done. I am doing nothing but slowing down the business. I would like to see someone that wants to take it to the next level. Weather you are a gun shop that wants to be more profitable or just someone looking for a great job.
I can supply profit and lose statements for the past 5 yrs along with a balance sheet if you like. I am willing to work for SGB for another 2 yrs or more if needed. I have had the business appraised but believe it was too high in this market so have reduced it to sell. With the interest I have had I don't think there is need for a broker and would be a wast of our money. As I think of the most common questions I will add more to this post.
I have said I was in no hurry and I was going to work until I was 65 but that has changed. I am ready to go. Between a bad back and a weak mind I am not doing the business justice. Bring any and all offers to the table and we will talk ab out it.
